In a true celebration of Anzac spirit and cultural unity, the Barossa Regional Gallery is proud to present the Indigenous Australians at War exhibition ? a visual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander stories from all major conflicts. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories presented in this exhibition are drawn from all over Australia and showcase both men and women and their combined modern military and uniquely indigenous skills in the service of their country. The exhibition covers their contributions to wartime activities in the Boer War (1899-1902), First World War (1914-18), Second World War (1939-45), Korean War (1950-53), Vietnam War (1963-74), as well as subsequent conflicts and peacekeeping efforts. Exhibition officially opens at 3pm on Sunday 6th December and through to Monday 12th December 2016. During the opening, Jean McAuslan, Director of Exhibitions and Collections (Shrine of Remembrance) will present a floor talk from 2pm....
