Fairy Meadow Beach offers fantastic views south to Wollongong with distant views of the two light houses and harbour. It is a popular spot, especially for students being so close to the university accommodation in Fairy Meadow, as well as families who are staying at the nearby tourist park, Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort. Fairy Meadow is located five kilometres from Wollongong central business district. Fairy Meadow Beach is only patrolled during the NSW school holidays,between September until the end of the April school holidays. North Wollongong Beach is the only beach in the area that is patrolled all year round. Fairy Meadow is a Time Share Dog zone.
