Karoonda Olive Grove Retreat is a stunning rural retreat. It's the perfect choice for a romantic escape, anniversary, special occasion or a longer stay, as our only guests you will receive a very special holiday experience.
This unique cottage sits at the top of our 50 acre farm, overlooking the olive grove. The property borders the Mount Buffalo National Park and is home to kangaroos, wombats, possums and an amazing mix of native bird life including rosellas, wrens, robins, parrots and Wedge Tail Eagles.
Along with relaxing on the deck or sitting by the pool enjoying the glorious views of the Ovens Valley and the Victorian Alps, you can stroll through the olive grove or walk around the property boundary taking in the breathtaking views.
You can also wander over to our farm gate to taste our award winning Extra Virgin Olive Oil, table olives and our range of products hand-crafted from the fantastic local produce.
Nestled into the foot of Mount Buffalo, Karoonda Olive Grove Retreat is central to the popular tourist attractions in Victoria's North East including Bright and surrounds, an area famous for its regional produce, gourmet food and exquisite wine.
A 30 minute drive will take you to the top of the Mount Buffalo Plateau and one of the most stunning National Parks in Australia. Explore magnificent Mount Buffalo in your car and on foot. Take a dip in Lake Catani, climb the Horn, enjoy the spectacular scenery and amazing waterfalls.
For the more energetic, bring your bicycle and ride the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail and cycle into Bright or Myrtleford and beyond. The serious cyclist can ride the Mount Buffalo Ascent to the historic Chalet.
