Lake Eucumbene in the beautiful Snowy Mountains is located around 40 kilometres from Cooma at its closest point. It sits at an elevation of 1200 metres above sea level making it a pristine alpine lake.
The closest town to Lake Eucumbene is Adaminaby. The dam construction was finished in 1958 creating the largest of the Snowy Scheme lakes.
