The 'Jewel of the Bay' was built as one of a pair of holiday houses in 2006 by a local builder, Evco. We built it for our own use with the probability that it would be used by others along with the original, adjoining shack. We return twice a year to do maintenance and make improvements. We always had in mind a bright and airy place with a welcoming deck and a view across the bay. The house sleeps four in two QS beds with an additional single bed in the lower bedroom. This was placed in response to requests from guests who needed their child to be close to them. The living area is upstairs, the laundry is in the downstairs bathroom. The upstairs deck faces North and West and has sun blinds. The house is fully air-conditioned with split units in the bedrooms and living areas. All rooms also have ceiling fans. For winter heating we also have a gas space heater upstairs.
There is a television with DVD player in the lower bedroom as well as upstairs in the living area.
The kitchen is very well equipped, with all you might need for day to day cooking. There is a hooded barbeque on the deck, and another simple bbq under cover with the shack.
The shack is a lined and insulated shed.
